Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store reduced energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.

Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared for whatever circumstances life throws at you. Whether you're dealing with severe thunderstorms, blizzards or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When searching generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.
How can I prepare my home for fluctuating spring temps?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by replacing or repairing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could have problems. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roofing shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water leak into your home. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Lastly, change vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window or peephole when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
