Take on any new home improvement project with the right tools — even if you don't own them. Rent the tools, use them, and return them when you're done. Complete your project without cluttering up valuable shed or garage storage with tools you only need every so often.
Tool Rental
Using The Home Depot N Myrtle Beach Tool Rental Center helps you handle larger DIY projects. You won't be limited by only what you have on hand or have to settle for untrustworthy hand-me-down tools. Complete your project confidently and safely by renting quality tools. If your local store doesn't have the tool in stock, it might be at another one within driving distance.
Tame the Bushes and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and bushes with rental lawn mowers and hedge trimmers, and get that driveway clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.
Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, update your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent equipment made for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies with ease. You'll enjoy a more consistent home temperature and steadier utility bills with new insulation.
Rental Trucks

How do I rent a moving truck or tool?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You may also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your store. For more info on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent a tool for an hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and long-term projects can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before choosing your vehicle.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
