Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store saved on energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives such as solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our eco actions.

Does The Home Depot have a sale this spring?
Another popular spring sale is here, so get ready to save money. Whether you're doing spring cleaning and DIY repairs with the latest tools or remodeling and adding new appliances, we've got what you need. Don't forget to check out our outdoor power equipment and lawn and garden bargains, too. Get great Spring Deals from April 24th through May 7th and enjoy your new products all year long.
What sizes of moving boxes do you have?
Make moving or storage easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Why should I get a generator?
We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
What home repairs should I make sooner rather than later?
Ready your home for spring temperatures swings and storms by repairing or replacing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be headed for trouble. On the outside of your home, examine metal roof panels or roofing shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check cinder block and bricks for cracks. Indoors, ensure ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if damaged.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
