You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before choosing your truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Note the fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too.
