The Home Depot Rental Center at Nw Dallas

Tool Rental
Begin your next home improvement project with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Nw Dallas expand your toolbelt with the tools you don't have at home. You can rent what you need and bring it back after the job is done. In fact, if you found the tools so useful that you didn't want to return them, inquire about buying our retired rental tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Rent scaffolding and ladders to reach high locations when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to get that job done.

Tame the Greenery and Lawn Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Cargo Van and Truck Rentals
To move large equipment rentals, we keep trucks of all kinds ready for rental. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from cargo vans to pickup trucks to flatbeds. We'll have the right size for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for DIY jobs of all sizes, it's easy to make us your source for truck rental as well.

Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to relocate to a new home, let us help with that, too. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet, but as always, availability varies from one store to the next. Use our trucks to haul all your belongings — from everything in a college dorm to the contents of a 4-bedroom house. Our box trucks have different sizes and rental requirements than Penske moving trucks, so check the FAQ or speak to an associate to ensure you find the right rental truck for you.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the scissor and boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out specific truck, large equipment, and tool rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You can also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your local store. For more details on renting tools or large equipment, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent large equipment or a tool for an hour?

You can rent a tool or large equipment for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You can return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a week?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before selecting a vehicle.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to pick up my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment dropped off and picked up from your job site for a reasonable cost — at your home or out in the field. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. Speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra hours or days you require.
