Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and long-term projects can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before you select a vehicle.

Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment dropped off at your job site for an affordable rate — out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. Think of your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get dinged with a late fee.
