Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

What sizes of moving boxes do you carry?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it there safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether you're dealing with tornados, hurricanes, snowstorms, thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements knock it out. When browsing generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

How can I prepare my home for fluctuating spring temperatures?

Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by replacing or repairing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be headed for trouble. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water leak in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Lastly, swap out chimney caps and vinyl siding if damaged.

Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful to scare off wannabe porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
