The Home Depot Rental Center at Pace

When you're beginning to make the leap into a major DIY job, you might not have the specialty tools you need in a shed. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Pace.

Tool Rental
Our tool and equipment rental options expand your toolbelt with the precise tools you require to complete the job. It's not practical to buy a specialty tool when you're only using it once in a while. When you're thinking about getting a new tool, give it a spin before you decide which to buy. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.

Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw, and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers in no time.

Make Painting Easier with Ladder and Paint Sprayer Rentals
Beautiful spring days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Make surfaces look new again with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need rental ladders for painting fences, or scaffolding rentals for painting houses or sheds, or a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, we have what you need.

Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep trucks of all kinds rental ready. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from flatbed trucks to cargo vans to pickup trucks. You're sure to find the right size for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your trusted source for storage, packing, and DIY projects, it's easy to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.

Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to move to a new home, we can help with that, too. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet, but as always, availability varies from one store to the next. Box trucks have different sizes and rental requirements than Penske moving trucks, so check the FAQ or speak to an associate to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.

Large Equipment Rentals
Complete expansive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning specific truck, tool, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular truck in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which trucks or tools you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You might also read our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your local store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent a tool or large equipment for a week?

Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a short rental period, and long-term jobs can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When can I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a few hours?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before you select a vehicle.

Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment dropped off and picked up from your job site for an affordable rate — at your home or out in the field. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
