Tools & Truck Rentals at The Home Depot Near You

The Home Depot Rental Center at Patton Twp

Take on any home improvement project with the right tools — even if you don't own them. Rent the tools, use them, and take them back when you're done. You're free to finish your project without cluttering up your shed or garage with tools you rarely use.

Tool Rental
The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Patton Twp lets you do larger DIY projects. You won't be limited by only what you have on hand or have to settle for untrustworthy hand-me-down tools. Rent the tools to finish your project confidently and safely. If your local store doesn't have a tool you need in stock, you could find it at another one within driving distance.

Tame the Trees and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, replace your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent equipment made for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies well. You'll enjoy a more consistent home temperature and steadier utility bills with new insulation.

Truck Rental
Choose one of our trucks when you need a truck or cargo van. It's great for hauling a large purchase that's too big for the car. With excellent availability and a price to match, our vehicles are ready when you are. We've also got box trucks and Penske moving trucks to help ease the stress of a big move. Availability varies by store, so check the FAQ or speak to an associate to ensure you choose the right rental truck for you.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a truck or tool?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You may also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is available at your favorite store. For more on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.

How long can I rent tools?

Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a short rental period, and long-term projects are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the month, day, or week, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before selecting a truck.

Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
