When you're ready to make the leap into a big DIY job, you might not have everything you need in a garage. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Phil/Oregon Ave Tool Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental choices expand your toolbelt with the exact tools you require to complete your project. It's impractical to purchase a specialty tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're thinking about getting a new tool, do a trial run before you choose which to buy. Whatever your situation, we have the power tools you're looking for.
Rent Post Hole Diggers, Floor Sanders, and Shop Vacs
Tackle major jobs with robust power tools. Get your garden bed ready for spring with a tiller rental or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter rental. Construct a new fence around your home faster and more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then use other concrete tools that suit the job at hand.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Make the most of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage fast and renew surfaces. Ladder rentals help you reach elevated locations when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for small to medium jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to work.
Truck Rental
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep box trucks and cargo vans ready for rental — with availability varying by store. We'll have the right size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for DIY jobs of all sizes, it's easy to make us your source for moving and transport as well.
To get transportation and tools for your moving or home improvement project, check out The Home Depot Tool and Truck Rental Center in Phil/Oregon Ave. Renting the appropriate tools for the job is important, so let us help. We're here to help you get that home improvement project done.
How do I rent trucks and tools?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You may also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is at your store. For more details on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before you decide on a truck.
Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. When you don't refill the truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
