When you're starting to leap into a major home improvement project, you might not have all the required tools in your shed or garage. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Piqua.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental choices enlarge your toolbelt with the precise tools you require to complete a DIY job. It's impractical to get a specialty tool when you're not using it often. When you're thinking about buying a new tool, do a trial run before you decide which one to get. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.
Make Painting Easier with Ladder and Paint Sprayer Rentals
Beautiful spring days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Make surfaces look new again with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, scaffolding rentals for painting houses or sheds, or rental ladders for painting fences, we have what you need.
Rent Post Hole Diggers, Floor Sanders, and Shop Vacs
Tackle serious projects with reliable power tool rentals. Take your scuffed hardwood floor to the next level with a floor sander rental and a shop vac rental to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your pool or property faster with a post hole digger rental, then use other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.
Rental Trucks
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep cargo vans as well as Penske moving trucks ready to roll — with availability varying by store. Choose the right size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for storage, packing, and DIY projects, it's simple to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.

How do I rent tools and trucks?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You could also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more information on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before choosing your truck.
Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
