LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives such as solar and wind.

Do I need a generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared for whatever circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, hurricanes, blizzards, thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements knock it out. When considering different generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
How can I prepare my home for fluctuating spring temperatures?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperatures swings and storms by replacing or repairing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine roofing shingles or metal roofing panels for damage or rust that could let water in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks. Indoors, verify ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, replace vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're in poor condition.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window or peephole when you can watch visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
