When it's time to leap into a big DIY project, you might not have the specialty tools you need in your workshop or garage. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Port Orange.
Tool and Equipment Rental
Our tool rental choices expand your toolbox and toolbelt with the exact tools you require to complete your project. It's not practical to invest in a specialized tool when you're not using it frequently. When you're thinking about buying a new tool, do a trial run before you decide which to purchase. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.
Rent Shop Vacs, Floor Sanders, and Post Hole Diggers
Tackle major projects with robust power tool rentals. Take your scuffed hardwood floor to the next level with a floor sander rental and a shop vacuum to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your home faster with a post hole digger rental, then use other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Paint Sprayers
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Scaffolding rentals help you reach elevated surfaces when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to work.
Truck Rental
Choose one of our trucks when you need a pickup truck or cargo van. It's great for hauling a tool rental. With an excellent price and availability, our vehicles are ready for rental. We've also got Penske moving trucks and box trucks to help ease the stress of a big move. Availability varies by store, so check out our FAQ or speak to an associate to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.

How do I rent tools or trucks?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which trucks or tools you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You could also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is at your local store. For more information on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent tools by the hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract before choosing a truck.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
