The Home Depot Rental Center at Ridley Township

When it's time to dive into a big DIY project, you might not have all the required tools in the shed or workshop. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Ridley Township Tool Rental Center.

Tool Rental
Our tool rental options expand your toolbelt with the precise tools you need to complete your DIY project. It's not necessary to buy a specialized tool when you're only using it once in a while. When you're looking for a new tool, give it a spin first before you select which to purchase. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.

Rent Post Hole Diggers, Shop Vacuums, and Floor Sanders
Tackle serious projects with reliable power tools. Use a rental tiller to get your garden bed ready for planting or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter. Construct a new fence around your home faster and more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools that suit your job.

Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Gorgeous sunny days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Renew surfaces with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, scaffolding rentals for painting a house, or rental ladders for painting fences, we have what you need.

Rental Trucks
If it's time to start your move but you need to rent a truck to do it, stop by The Home Depot Truck Rental Center. From pickup and flatbed trucks to box trucks and Penske moving trucks, we've got the transportation you need. Get the right size for your project so you can keep your job on track. Rent a truck to check off more DIY jobs from your list. Check with your local rental center for availability, as it changes.

Large Equipment Rentals
Complete massive projects with professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning specific large equipment, tool, and truck rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You can also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more on renting tools or large equipment, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent a tool or large equipment for an hour?

Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and bigger jobs can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

You can return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before you decide on a vehicle.

Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent large equipment or a truck?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to go get my rented large equipment?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented equipment and you'll need to rent it for a full day. Speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid extra fees and penalties on rented large equipment?

Think of your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
