The Home Depot Rental Center at Saddlerock

Take on any DIY project with the right tools for the job — even if you don't own them. Rent power tools, use them, and return them when you're done. You can complete your project without cluttering up valuable workshop or shed storage with tools you rarely need.

Tool Rental
The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Saddlerock helps you handle more complicated DIY projects. Break free of the limits of old tools and rent up-to-date tools made to suit your projects. Rent the tools to finish your project safely. If your local store doesn't have the tool in stock, it could be available at another store within driving distance.

Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Make the most of longer spring days and paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage fast and make surfaces look new again. Scaffolding rentals help you reach high areas when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when inspiration strikes.

Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Rental Trucks
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks and box trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths at certain stores. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your trusted source for packing, DIY, and storage, it's smart to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Complete massive projects with the right pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the scissor and boom lifts to give you a boost to the skid steers capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out popular truck, large equipment, and tool rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent large equipment, trucks, or tools?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You can also read our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more on renting tools or large equipment, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent large equipment or tools by the hour?

Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a few hours?

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before choosing a vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to go get my rented large equipment?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment dropped off at your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's at your home or out in the field. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra hours or days you require.
