Every time I go visit at the Pro desk everyone is very helpful.

I looked up the parts I needed in the app and they old me there were many in stock at the San Rafael store. They were not there, or at least the staff I talked to (about 7) did not know where to find them. I wanted to buy the Telescoping Pole Pruner with Heavy-Duty Bypass Pruning Head

Service is basically non-existent there

I was in the San Rafeal store yesterday and they had 100s of plants that were about to be thrown in the garbage instead of being put on discount/clearance, or god-forbid-given away for free. It was disgusting. So many plants that could have been saved. I asked 2 employees about them and I could tell they both felt badly about it. Crazy wasteful practice, and we all knew it. Shame on Home depot. Put your plants on clearance and give them a chance.

Many employees are neutral, not friendly or engaging. Pietro on Returns is an asset to the store--upbeat and efficient and moving the line along quickly. Thanks!

Visited HD twice in four days and experienced the MOST fantastic, kind, helpful, knowledgeable assistance from four different male employees. Whoever does the hiring/training at the San Rafael HD must be complimented & congratulated on a job well-done!

I bought a 2 step toilet seat in a sealed box. My father installed it not noticing, but when I went to look the toilet seat was not only not the right one, IT WAS USED AND YELLOWED. This toilet seat was for children, and yet I was sold, and touched/installed a used toilet seat. When I returned it, the customer service agent admitted this was by FAR the grossest thing she'd even seen come back as a return. I was only given a very small credit back for this even though it is 1) disgusting and completely unsanitary and 2) I had to drive back and forth to Home Depot 30 minutes away to resolve the issue. I truly can't imagine anything more disgusting or indicative of what a disgusting poorly managed company Home Depot is. I probably should have tweeted this if I actually wanted to get some some of decent response for this issue.

I usually walk in and need someone to help find an item , but they don’t look at you so you have to call them to ask questions . Sometimes too it’s hard to find an employee in certain departments because they’re gone for a long time . Maybe a break or something?

Every employee I interacted with was very friendly.

I only go to this Home Depot if I know exactly what I want. There is never anyone who can answer a question, or even point you to the right area in the store. You may see exployees standing talking to each other but not helping customers. And they NEVER answer the phone.

I will not go to HD ever again. I will pay a premium to some other location instead of dealing with the incompetence at this store.

The young lady that assisted me went above and beyond to help me order what I needed and check out. I was very grateful for her knowledge, attitude and help. She is an exceptional employee. Because of that, and the general positive attitudes of all the other employees I met, I will now be shopping from this store.

I bought a Milwaukee drill and the pro service man gave me great assistance

Don't go to San Rafaels Home Deport for Specialty Fasteners unlesss you like to be frustrated. It is not maintained and many fasteners are misplaced.

These days when you go into Home Depot, you are on ... your ... own. Good luck trying to find someone to help you. SERVICE has gone way downhill. Avoid it if you can. And, don't forget to steal a plant or two on the way out.

... of the bad place would be preferable to going to Home Depot. I am used to incompetent employees, to the constant understaffing, to the leering solar sales-vultures, but today I got an ATTITUDE from the dude who took 50 min to show up to his department (electrical) to respond to my request for ONE ROLL OF WIRE. Only to tell me he wouldn't sell me the perfectly salable item I was showing him the SKW# for on my phone. This is the reason I will go ANYWARE ELSE if I can help it. Kindly get bent HD. Staff cuts, price gouging, loss prevention systems that turn a simple purchase into an HOUR LONG 3-ring CIRCUS! And don't even get me started on the political donations. We're watching, you are not being the company Mr. Rogers knew you could be.

I would be remiss if I did not take the time to acknowledge the exceptional service, I have received from a woman named Q at the San Rafael Home Depot. Whether it's ordering paint or tracking down orders, Q is knowledgeable and professional. Home Depot is lucky to have such an amazing team member. I am fortunate to know such a pro.

Over the last year I have bought about 40 Ollie bushes plus Photinia, many Snapdragons and so much more. Charlie is training the staff well, they are learning so much about plants and are super helpful. They are always there if I need help lifting the plants or dirt into my car.

Not much help as far as customer help

I have shopped here for years only because I have no alternative however, one thing is constant. Here is how poor the customer service employees really are not helpful and at times of ignored me management needs to work on this.

Vast Leadership void. Giant line in paint dept, abundance of staff in other depts twiddling thumbs, no one seemed cross trained. No one seems in charge, or to have resources to help them succeed should they make an effort to call for help. So many other local stores can get you in and out in 20 min, courteously. I feel for the staff that are doing their best without support, without a path to job satisfaction.

Get with the times Home Depot and allow transactions with tap to pay. Also, audit your inventory to correct for discrepancies!

I came to this location to purchase some PPE items for work. These items are locked in a cage, I asked 3 different employees to open the cage and all 3 said they​ would call someone to open it for me. After 20 minutes of standing around waiting and noone showing up I decided to leave without making my purchases

Trying to get help from Home Depot employees is like trying to get attention from a cat. If you know what you need and know where it is, then it is okay. Otherwise, go to Ace.

Paint department was unmanned. No staffer knew how to mix paint. I chose a color and paid for ten gallons to be picked up the next day. The painting contractor picked it up and brought it to the job site. No one had tinted it. I called the store, but no one was answering the phone. So I have to pay for three more hours of time for them to go back to the store to tint the paint.

The worst Home Depot store I have ever been to, take three times longer to check out than any of the other Home Depot stores.

Aisles are jammed with junk. Employees are scarce. Carts are never gathered from the outskirts of the parking lot.

Bought a traeger at this location around 6:30PM, was nobody in the store willing to help load it waited for 15+ minutes for assistance and nothing at all

I was so surprised when shopping at the Home Depot in Ellsworth, Maine, that the employees were VERY helpful. They were interested in making sure that your shopping experience was positive. This is NOT the case in San Rafael, California.
