Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before choosing a vehicle.

Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment dropped off at your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you and you'll need to rent it for a full day. Speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra time you require.
