When I make a purchase, typically online, I always hope that Linda will be at the Customer Service Desk when I arrive. She is very Customer friendly and has a wonderful personality. Not only that, she is professional, and goes above the call of duty to help me, always. My visits would not be the same if Linda was not there to assist me. She always helps me in getting my purchases into my vehicle no matter how big or small. I would never go to another home improvement store, unless of course Linda was an employee at that store.

It is always a great experience

Everything about my experience today with the Schereville home depot was positive from the moment I walked in to the moment I exited. The manager of the flooring department greeted me and assured me he was there to answer any questions or help however I needed. He checked on me as I was looking through colors of carpeting and answered all of my questions and assured me that he was interested in offering me the best quality and value for the job I needed done. I placed a very large order of carpet for the home I'm selling and I was amazed by the computer software he was using along with the estimator and installers to get my house done efficiently. I have full confidence that everything will go just as great and I'm about to place another large order with him for new carpet in the home we are moving to. While I was there, I also heard him thank a co-worker and tell him he was grateful for his help. Everyone smiled and greeted me as I arrived and thanked me as I left and told me to have a great day. I normally don't write reviews but today I felt as though my home depot experience was the highlight of my day:)

Great Store. Nice People

Home Depot in Schererville, goes above and beyond any other hardware store I have ever gone too. I wanted an item that was carried throughout the stores, I went to the closest store, Valparaiso. Valparaiso did not have the item I wanted but they told me that Schererville had some in stock. I called the Schererville store and was transferred to Ryan the manager. Not only did Ryan get me the item I wanted, but instead of having to drive all the way to Schererville, he is bringing it to my house! We have bought quite a few things from Home Depot, large appliances, metal shelves, etc., but I have never seen service like this! I will only shop at Home Depot from now on ! The fantastic service you received is unduplicated anywhere else! Thank you Ryan! You truly are a perfect example of excellent customer service!

Great experience at this store. Bought a washing machine, and Chuck in appliances was so very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely go back to him with future purchases!

Good Location & nice people

The Staff here is outstanding and knowledgeable. They keep a great stock of everything you need. One of the BEST Home Depots I've been to.

We usually go to the Merrillville location. This Home Depot is so much bigger and nicer and has the products in stock unlike Merrillville location. There is an employee named Tim who said he works in Plumbing but helped us so much in another department as no one else seemed to be around. Also cashier at checkout was very nice.

I found the products easily, and there were assistants around the store so I was able to ask for assistance very easily and quickly. The store was clean and the associates were very nice and helpful.

Great store, helpful employees and a very helpful Judy Pociecha in the appliance department. If you are in the market for appliances be sure to talk to Judy she is very helpful and very nice to deal with.

In recent years a major competitor has built a mega store nearby. Home Depot, being an older store, is doing remarkably well in view of the fact they face fierce competition. My congratulations to the store. Well done!

A competitor has build a new mega store nearby in recent years. Home Depot, being an older store, has done a remarkable job to maintain their competitive position. They are facing fierce competition but seem to be holding their own. Home Depot has my respect in view of the circumstances.

Someone is always available to help you, you don't have to turn the store upside to fine help, and most often they go the extra mile to make sure you find what you're looking for, or provide alternate suggestions. Always worth the trip.

We needed to order a replacement Anderson window. Dan in the window department was very knowledgeable, helpful, took time to get our order correct, checked out possible options, called in our order to Anderson, and also got us a 10% off on our custom purchase.
