Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our eco actions.

Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it there safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements knock it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.
Should I do siding repairs now?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by repairing or replacing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be looking at trouble. Check cinder blocks and brickwork for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, examine roofing shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're damaged.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
