Take on any DIY project with the tools you need — even if you don't currently own them. Rent the tools, use them, and return them when you're done. You're free to finish your project without taking up garage or shed storage with tools you rarely need.
Tool and Equipment Rental
Using The Home Depot Spring Valley Tool Rental Center helps you handle more complex DIY projects. You won't be limited by only what you have on hand or have to settle for untrustworthy hand-me-down tools. Rent quality tools to complete your project safely and confidently. If your local store doesn't have the needed tool in stock, it could be available at another one within driving distance.
A Comfortable Workspace is a Productive One
Get ready to beat the heat before it hits. We've got ways to help keep your workspace cool and comfortable so you can get more done. We carry generators to run rental air conditioners, fans, and all your large power tools.
Tame the Lawn and Trees Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the sidewalks and driveway with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Truck Rental
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep flatbed trucks and cargo vans ready to roll — with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the correct size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for storage needs, DIY projects, and packing, it's smart to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.

How do I rent a truck or tool?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You might also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your favorite store. For more on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool for a week?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before you select a truck.
Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
