Store has consistently blocked and locked fire doors thus removing the breakout safety in these doors. That creates a real safety hazard. When questioned, a guy who claimed to be the store manager told me to mind my own business and that I’m an idiot. Will never go back there

My husband and I found fabulous Christmas decorations for a Homeless Shelter in Newark, NJ that we support. We had so much fun! Grateful to Chris who helped us. He was amazing and is an outstanding ambassador for Home Depot.

Stamford store may be smaller than other Homedepot s but the customer service people and floor associates are the most helpful by far.

This is a marvelous floor staff -- helpful, knowledgeable, supportive. I walked out feeling like I had made the right selection for my needs. Turns out I did.

We were happy when Home Depot finally started accepting ApplePay. However, we recently attempted to return an item at a Home Depot store and left the paper receipt at home. All we ever needed to do was to present the credit card used and Home Depot would find purchase and process the refund back to the credit card. The cashier recently said "We can't find that you purchased that item at Home Depot." We wondered if we had used ApplyPay. The casher said it would bring up all purchases whether with credit card or ApplePay. She offered to refund us with a store credit which we accepted. BUT she didn't refund the sales tax!! So I didn't get all my money back because Home Depot couldn't find my purchase. A friend suggested maybe we have to give the cashier the iPhone/ApplyPay ... will have to check that next. But now I am too afraid to use ApplyPay at Home Depot stores if it screws up my ability to make returns. Having to forfeit refund of the sales tax SUCKS.

I’ve always had great experiences at this location, and I’m really glad they opened in Stamford, CT. The staff is consistently helpful and friendly. I also appreciate how the Home Depot app shows the exact aisle and bay for items—it makes shopping so much easier!

The Stanford Home Depot location is very clean and the people there have always been helpful

Bought a stove and a refrigerator. Stove didn’t work after installing it and the second Stove didn’t have the cables attached. Currently, the refrigerator doesn’t work. HD, they can’t help me and the manufacturer can’t find a technician to come to our house. HD doesn’t care about the customer 48 hours after the appliance is delivered to your home!

I went to stamford as I always do.I needed an elbow pipe for under my sink although the gentleman was busy he directed us as to which isle the plumbing product was and said he will be there in a moment ,in the isle was a younger employee so he got the pipe for us and the older gentleman came to us as he said he would and made sure we bought the right piece.

10 minutes before closing, staff cheerfully went for a forklift, to get the dehumidifier I needed, from a 1000-pound bundle of them, stacked 25 feet in the air! Much appreciated!!

Home Depot for some people can be overwhelming, but not because of the type of store that it is but because it’s easy for someone to feel lost in there. The associates make the occasional necessary visit almost unbearable! It’s very hard to find a friendly approachable face to ask for help, everyone just typically are chatting amongst themselves and avoiding eye contact so you don’t come ask them. Even after you’ve assisted your self they still barely interact besides the bare minimum of pointing you to the next open self check out. I’m ready to take my chances with robots because at least that behavior will be expected.

Though HD is huge I think the local employees make it special. I can even have a coffee that is provided.

Customer service would not refund the pallet fee. They insisted that the pallet I returned was not from their store. This is ridiculous. I don't have time to swap pallets around, Hard enough to onload fifty 40lb bags of pellets into a storage space. Sales attendant was extremely rude.

Stanford was great when it first opened after a few years it has declined. The customer service is lacking too many people standing around talking with each other. They closed all the registers and expect all the customers to do the work. Systems are down half the time the place is filthy both inside and out, someone needs to hold management accountable for the decline

Used to have to drive to the Norwalk store for everything because the Stamford store was still kind of in the beginning stages of business. As time has progressed the Stamford store is gaining traction. The Norwalk store is still ahead a little because of its seasoned staff.

most of the things I purchased there I'm very pleased with, most of the staff is friendly but some don't speak a word of English, and you can't ask them anything about what you're looking for, all in all its a good store and I go there all the time.

The place was Awesome when it first opened and it was kept super clean with friendly staff. In just a few short years it has become the absolute opposite. Trash all over the parking lot along with a lot of the isles. The staff could care less. It almost feels like they made their money so why continue to provide great service. Hopefully it gets back to its original.

Convenient, fairly clean and tidy. Has what I need most of the time, unless it's an item they don't stock at the stores, available only on the website, or don't stock at all. Personnel - especially the folks manning returns, are professional, friendly, and helpful.

If you are in the market for a large appliance, go to West Main Street and ask for help from Elaine Tracey. She is extremely knowledgeable, has a great service ethic with no pressure to make an immediate purchase.
