Take on any new home improvement project with the right tools for the job — even if you don't currently own them. Rent tools, use them, and bring them back when you're done. Complete your project without taking up garage or shed storage with tools you only reach for once in a while.
Tool Rental
Using The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Sw Tulsa helps you handle more complex DIY projects. You won't be limited by only what you have on hand or have to settle for untrustworthy hand-me-down tools. Rent the tools to finish your project confidently and safely. If your local store doesn't have the tool you need in stock, you could find it at another one within driving distance.
Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten around the garden and bushes with rental lawn mowers and hedge trimmers, and get that sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.
Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, update your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to get it installed correctly. Decide between a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated properly. Installing insulation keeps your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.
Cargo Van and Truck Rentals
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep trucks of all kinds ready for rental. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from flatbed trucks to cargo vans to pickup trucks. Choose the right size for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's easy to make us your source for truck rental as well.
Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to relocate to a new home, let us help with that, too. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths, but as always, availability varies by store. Use our trucks to haul all your belongings — from a dorm to a city apartment to a 4-bedroom house, and anything in between. Our box trucks have different rental requirements and sizes than Penske moving trucks, so check our FAQ or speak to an Orange Apron to ensure you find the right rental truck for you.
Large Equipment Rentals
Complete massive projects with the right pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the scissor and boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini skid steers and excavators capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.
Although we're mentioning popular truck, tool, and large equipment rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.
How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see which trucks or tools you can rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You might also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more on renting tools or large equipment, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent large equipment or a tool for a day?
Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract before choosing a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent large equipment or a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.
How do I receive my large equipment rental?
Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment dropped off at your job site for an affordable rate — out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. Speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.
What are some ways to avoid extra fees and penalties on rented large equipment?
Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra hours or days you require.
