Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used for composite decking materials, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, hurricanes, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows.
Why should I repair my roof before spring severe weather arrives?
Ready your home for spring temperatures swings and storms by repairing or replacing broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in the crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofing panels for damage or rust that could let water leak into your home. Gutters should be clear and functional to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Check brickwork and cinder block for cracks. Indoors, ensure ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, change out vinyl siding and chimney caps if damaged.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy safety, privacy, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window or peephole when you can watch visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
