When you're ready to leap into a DIY project, you might not have all the tools you need in a workshop or shed. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Towson.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbelt and toolbox with the precise tools you require to complete your project. It's impractical to buy a specific tool when you're not using it often. When you're considering a new tool, give it a spin before you choose which to buy. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.
Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower for a simple way to keep your doorstep free of a light snow. It's less work than sweeping it with a broom. It's also more effective on concrete or brick surfaces. Choose push, walk-behind, or backpack leaf blowers to clear away the fluffy stuff. When you've got wet snow, it's time for the snow blower or electric snow shovel.
Chainsaws
Maintain the safety and beauty of the shrubs in your yard with a rental chainsaw. Because you probably won't use this tool daily, rent it when it's time to clean up the yard. When the leaves are off the trees, it's much easier to spot any troublesome branches and do basic trimming. We carry electric and gas chainsaws, so you'll find one that suits your job.
Truck Rental
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep Load 'N Go pickup trucks as well as moving trucks rental-ready. We'll have the right size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for packing, DIY and storage, it's smart to make us your source for moving and transport as well.
Whether you're searching for everyday tools like drills, power tools like tile saws, or large industry tools such as concrete mixers, we've got you covered. We'll even rent you the vehicle to get it to your project site. Let us help you complete your home improvement project with the right tools and transport for the project.
How do I rent a tool or a truck?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You can also check out our tool rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your store. For more information on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the month, day, or week, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before you choose a truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
