Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities, as well as the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether you're dealing with strong winds, snowstorms, or thunderstorms, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements knock it out. When considering different generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Should I do siding repairs now?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperatures swings and storms by repairing or replacing broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could headed for major repairs later. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofs or roof shingles for rust or damage that could let water leak into your home. Gutters should be clear and functional to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Check cinder block and brick for cracks. Indoors, verify ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, swap vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.
What benefits do doorbell cameras have?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole or window when you can see visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful to scare off wannabe porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
