Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used for composite decking materials, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives such as solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether you're dealing with thunderstorms, snowstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When considering different generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Why should I repair my roof before spring severe weather arrives?
Ready your home for spring temperatures swings and storms by replacing any broken or faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be looking at trouble. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofs or roof shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, swap out chimney caps and vinyl siding if they're in poor condition.
What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, privacy, and peace of mind with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through the peephole or a nearby window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
