The Home Depot Rental Center at Tucker

Tool and Equipment Rental
Begin your next home improvement project with confidence and the correct tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Tucker Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the items you don't have on hand. Rent a tool and bring it back after you're done. If it turns out the rental tools would be more useful than you thought, inquire about buying our retired rental tools. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, upgrade your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent equipment made for insulation to get it installed correctly. Decide between a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies properly. It'll keep the house cooler this spring and summer, then continue working year-round. You'll enjoy warmer temps in the winter, too, which can lessen electricity usage.

Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and shrubs with hedge trimmers and rental lawn mowers, and get that sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Rental Trucks
If it's time to get going on your DIY project but you need to rent a truck to do it, come to The Home Depot Truck Rental Center. From cargo vans and flatbed trucks to Penske moving trucks and box trucks, we've got the transportation you need. We'll have the right size for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. Rent a truck to check off more DIY jobs from your list. Check with your local rental center for availability, as it is subject to change.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom lifts to give you a boost to the skid steers capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning popular truck, tool, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular truck in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent trucks, tools, or large equipment?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You may also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is at your local store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent a tool or large equipment for an hour?

Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the month, day, or week, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You can return the tools early if you complete your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I choose how long to rent a truck?

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract before you decide on a vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent large equipment or a truck?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to pick up my rented large equipment?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment dropped off at your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented equipment and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra hours or days you require.
