The Home Depot Rental Center at Victoria

Tool Rental
Start your next DIY project with confidence and the best tools. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Victoria expand your toolbox with the items you don't have at home. You can rent a tool and bring it back after you've completed the project. If you need to add those tools to your toolbox permanently, ask about purchasing used tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

Tame the Greenery and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw, and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers in no time.

A Comfortable Workspace is a Productive One
Get ready to beat the heat before it hits. We've got ways to help keep your workspace comfortably cool so you can get more done. We carry generators to run fans, rental air conditioners, and all your large power tools.

Rental Trucks
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep cargo vans and box trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths at certain stores. We'll have the correct size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for packing, DIY, and storage, it's smart to make us your source for transport and moving as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Complete massive projects with the right pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom lifts and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning specific tool, large equipment, and truck rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular truck in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent large equipment, tools, or trucks?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks and tools are up for rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You can also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your favorite store. For more info on renting large equipment or tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent a tool or large equipment for an hour?

You can rent a tool or large equipment for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and long-term projects are no problem. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a week?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before choosing a truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent large equipment or a truck?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to pick up my rented large equipment from the store?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered to your job site for an affordable rate — at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented equipment and you'll need to rent it for a full day. Speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra hours or days you require.
