The Home Depot Rental Center at Wareham

When you're ready to make the leap into a big DIY job, you might not have the specialty tools you need in your workshop or garage. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Wareham.

Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbelt with the precise tools you require to complete a DIY job. It's impractical to get a specialty tool when you're not using it at least once a week. When you're considering a new tool, give it a spin first before you choose which to buy. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.

Rent Floor Sanders, Shop Vacs, Post Hole Diggers, and More
Tackle major jobs with reliable power tools. Take your scuffed hardwood to the next level with a floor sander rental and a shop vac rental to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your pool or property faster with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools that suit your job.

Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Take advantage of longer spring days and paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Rent ladders and scaffolding to reach high surfaces when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to work.

Rental Trucks
If it's time to get started on your move but you need to rent a truck to do it, stop by The Home Depot Truck Rental Center. From pickup and flatbed trucks to box trucks and Penske moving trucks, we've got the transportation you need. Get the correct size for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. Rent a truck to check off more DIY jobs from your list. Check with your local rental center for availability, as it is subject to change.

Large Equipment Rentals
Complete expansive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the scissor lifts and boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out specific truck, large equipment, and tool rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent large equipment, tools, or trucks?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You can also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is at your local store. For more on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent large equipment or tools by the hour?

Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I choose how long to rent a truck?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract before choosing your vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck or large equipment with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to go get my rented large equipment from the store?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment dropped off at your job site for a reasonable cost — at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you and you'll need to rent it for a full day. Speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid extra fees and penalties on my large equipment rentals?

Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
