Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used for composite decking materials, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities, as well as the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether you're dealing with tornados, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, blizzards or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements knock it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
How can I prepare my home for spring temperature changes?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be in for major repairs later. Check cinder block and bricks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water leak into your home. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're damaged.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole or window when you can watch visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful to scare off wannabe porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
