Can I rent a tool for a month?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before selecting a vehicle.
Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too.
