Can this be installed on flat PVC pergola? What screws will be used for PVC pergola? What else will be needed? Thank you!
          ByJun 10, 2026
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

Hello, We do not recommend installing our Suntuf panels without a slope of at least 1.5" to 12". For fastening into PVC framing, use corrosion-resistant screws that are appropriate for the pergola manufacturer's recommendations. In most cases, installers use stainless steel or coated screws along with the recommended Suntuf fasteners and sealing washers. Pre-drilling the panels is also recommended to allow for thermal expansion. In addition to the panels and fasteners, you may need closure strips, side-lap connectors or flashing (depending on the design), and any accessories required to properly seal and finish the installation. A slight roof slope is also recommended to promote water drainage.

Can the steel scores be covered with a white cap so that the steel scores are ess visible on the fiberglass ceiling?
              ByJun 8, 2026
              1 Answer |
              Answer This Question

Hello, Suntuf panels do not have a dedicated white cap designed to cover the supporting steel members beneath the panels. Because Suntuf is a translucent roofing panel, the framing below will typically remain visible to some degree. If reducing the visibility of the steel supports is important, many installers paint the steel framing white or use white-colored framing members before installing the panels. This can create a brighter, cleaner appearance when viewed from below.

Worked out really nicely for our deck. Affordable and lets enough light in while filtering the uv. Recommend

do not buy; if you do, hold on to the receipts
Bought 17 panels for my pergola roof (Houston) in 2022 March from home depot through a contractor. The corrugated panels started coming apart in less than one year. The panels started warping in the Houston heat and the middle section turned black and brittle overall. During a winter hailstorm, the brittle panels developed huge holes in them from the hail. Now the pergola roof leaks whenever it rains and it defeats the purpose of even having a roof. I unfortunately did not hold on to the receipt, and so am unable to file for warranty replacement. However, the product itself is downright bad. If you end up buying it, hold on to your receipt so you can file for warranty with the manufacturer who will not honor the warranty without the receipt.

This is my second Suntuf roof on our deck. The previous roof lasted 13 years before quarter size hail did it in a couple of months ago. I put Misty Green on this time to reduce the heat transmission. We still get a lot of illumination even with only 20% light transmission. Suntuf is the best. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy-to-install, super roof.

                  Easy to work with!
Used these corrugated panels to provide shade on our carport sides. Also used for a shed lean to roof and a privacy screen. So far so good on holding up to wind and intense sun! (Tucson AZ)

It's quite large and soft, making it a bit difficult to handle when cutting. I placed them on either side of the porch to block rain and snow without affecting the light. Although there are some small scratches if you look closely, We are currently still observing its durability. overall it's pretty good.

                    Buy something better
Save Your Money! I purchased these 3 yrs ago to cover a 12x40 ft outdoor space. I live in FL so I opted for the UV panels. A year later I started having problems with noise from the panels and leaking. Reacbed out to suntuf, no help at all. I spent over.$1000 and these things are.supposed to have a 10 yr warranty. If you live somewhere where the Sun can be extreme I don't recommend using these. The panels "crystallized" and became brittle and began cracking. Seems to be a common problem.
