are these foam brushes good for rustoleum paint oil base anti rust primer?
They are, but I don't recommend these foam brushes for anything. They are like sponges and absorb the paint, oils, etc and then you have to press them hard against whatever you are painting to release the paint. Use a paint brush or for varnishing, a varnishing pad.
I used to apply Elmer's Glue to bottom of old canoe for a crackle application to make a planter in yard They sponges quickly came apart. I only recommend for small projects when applying a thin watery substance.
These are compatible with oil based paints and printers, however they are best suited for use on smoother surfaces. Thanks,

Natural bristle brushes are the best for polyurethanes and oil based paints. With the proper cleaning routine, a good brush will last you through multiple usage cycles. These foam brushes are typically for latex paints and primers. Mostly for a hobby type of project. Wooster dos make some really good quality foam brushes for more of a professional style finish when using latex paints.
I used them for polyurethane and for BONA Wood Sealant.
