Hello, thank you for the question. The diameter of the screw hole is 6.6mm. The ideal screw length and diameter can vary depending on the specific type and condition of the brick, the weight being supported, and local building codes. To determine the precise screw length and diameter for your specific project, it's best to consult the installation guidelines for the straps you choose, or seek advice from a professional who can assess your specific masonry type and load requirements.
The strap is for ¾” OD because it is strapping down the outside of the conduit.
The “official” answer of 3/4” is wrong. The inside dimension of the strap is 1” to match the OD of 3/4 conduit (which is NOT 3/4”).
We would recommend a #10- X 1-1/4” zinc plated screw.
3/4 “ rigid strap will fit 3/4 in PVC Sched 40 pipe. It has to be rigid, EMT will not fit.
This product is designed for 1-1/2" Electrical Metallic Tube (EMT) conduit. While it might seem like it could work for 1.5" PVC pipe, it's specifically designed for EMT conduit and its dimensions are tailored for that purpose. Using it with PVC pipe might not provide a secure and reliable hold, especially for something like a sump pump discharge where a strong and dependable connection is essential. For PVC, you should look for straps specifically designed for PVC pipe to ensure proper support and prevent any potential issues.
These are made of galvanized steel.
