No, just a standard two-prong polarized plug. (Whether this actually runs at 1500 watts is of question).

The box is marked "Large", then defines that as 214 square feet. - that's a 10"x20" room. And it will do that, but not dramatically.

        Answer This Question

It's a "no-brand" unit, made in China, same box design as the more expensive Cuori heater. It's distributed by Ningbo Singfun Electric Appliance Co. As others speculate, these types of heaters are probably all made by one factory and slapped with different brand names.

I purchased one yesterday and most likely will return it tomorrow. After taking a close look at the box I found more info about the box itself than the contents. There is essentially no info about the manufacturer anywhere, including the instructions. I will however be ordering the DeLonghi Solaris model. I had one of these for 10 yrs until the switch went out.

        Awesome heater!
I have a couple of these and they're awesome. It's a radiant heat so it can take some time to warm a room, but it's like a more complete warm somehow than ceramic forced heat. I don't worry about it catching fire, either.

          Space heater works flawlessly and
It is STILL working after 5 years! I've never had to put this on anything higher than low, and the highest I've had the thermostat is about halfway. I use this for my bedroom which is 13' x 13', and it does exceptionally well. Now this year when I got it out, it seemed as if it wasn't heating as much, but then there are times when it's working and I'll have to turn it off because of how hot it can get. I would imagine at some point I'd have to replace it, but so far it's been working great.

            Does not work
The box says this is for a "Large" room. So my wife and I bought it assuming it would help in our basement. We had this running for 6+ hours and the temp of the room did not go up one degree. We unplugged it and tried another location in the room (which is only about 10x30 size wise) with no such luck. Even on High max setting this thing barely put off any heat, and the only way to tell was to put your hand about 4 inches from it. Do not buy this product.

                Very little heat
Buyer beware. We picked up one of these for daughters room because her old heater stopped working. It barely got hot on max heat and did nothing to heat up her room. I thought maybe we just got a bad one so exchanged it, and the 2nd one performed the same way. The heat did not radiate out more than 3 inches or so and was only warm at best, not hot. Returning this heater and will be looking for another brand. I would recommend passing this unit by, there is a reason they are the only ones left in the store.

                Heats well
First of all, the power light DOES stay on constantly, contrary to the instruction book. This doesn't bother me. My bedroom is 14 x 17 and was built as an extension to the original house. The furnace does not heat this room at all; this unit heats it well. I put it on low speed and high temp and close the door. A couple of hours later, when I enter the room, I definitely feel the heat. Then I turn the thermostat down until it clicks off. As other reviewers have said, don't expect this to heat a room instantly. It's not made that way. If you have patience, this will work fine for you.

                  Worst money ever spent.
We have two of these heaters turned up to max in our 215 square foot bedroom, and we can just keep the temperature above 60. The change of the outside temperature doesn't seem to effect the temperature in the room. Whether it's 18 out or 32 out, thermometer sits at 60 with both of these turned up full. Even on high you wouldn't notice they're actually on unless you touched one of them. Worst money ever spent.

                  efficient
Am very satisfied with this radiator. First of all there is nth digital abt it!!! But aside that it warms our master bedroom pleasantly and slowly. It does not kill the oxygen as other space heaters do. Buying a second one for our other room.

                    Most Essential Winter Product
POIF. What is this unit's Performance of Intended Function? Reduce and inform your expectations: I'm from Southern California. I don't like cold. I just bought a house in MD (it was 8* this morning) with an old, lousy, inefficient heater and single-pane glass windows. My first month's electric bill was astronomical. So I bought two of these heaters, one for downstairs, and one for upstairs. I reserved these online. When I picked them up, I was handed two units that were taped up and looked like they had been returned. In the store, I saw a man with two more, and his were taped up and returned-looking like my two. Uh oh, I thought. Considering the reviews and this image, not a good sign. I WAS WRONG AND IF YOU DISAGREE, SO ARE YOU. Here's the deal: they don't warm YOU up, they make your ROOM not cold. Read that again. They don't warm YOU, but they work well enough that you can wear a t-shirt or maybe a light sweater (our house heater set to 64-66, but much colder downstairs or in bedrooms). They make the room NOT UNCOMFORTABLE. It's not a fire. You don't stand next to it like a bum stands with his tipless gloves at a barrel in the cold. You put it next to a wall, turn it on an hour before you expect to be in that room, and that's it. Later, you're not entering a warm room, you're entering a no longer uncomfortably cold room. The dog loves it. Size and power, I'd say it's ideal for bedrooms and living rooms. If you have an "open floorplan," as is popular these days, it'll still work, but it'll take longer. Construction is pretty cheap, what with the wheels and plastic and such, and it does seem like an awkward weight/balance, but I've no issues moving it around, knocking it over, or it being too hot to touch. Haven't yet got a bill, so I don't know if I'm actually reducing my electric bill, though I am certainly relying less on my inefficient house heater. If you reduce and also inform your expectation (you know what "radiant" means, but go ahead, check the dictionary and see how it applies to this type of heater), you will be satisfied.
