Happy to clear things up! Since this is an alkyd finish, Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel Paint will not properly adhere to galvanized or zinc surfaces. To ensure full adhesion of this paint, you would need to use a water-based primer first. We recommend Rust-Oleum Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Water-Based Primer for bare galvanized metal.
