Are these strong enough where i can drill through inside of window box and attach directly to stud on a home with vinyl siding?
Yes. The Fairfield ships with steel mounting brackets, and the recommended method is to fasten those brackets through the siding into the wall studs, then hook the box onto the brackets. You can also fasten directly through the back wall of the box if you prefer, but mounting to the included brackets and anchoring into studs is the strongest, most secure setup, especially over vinyl siding. Just be sure your screws reach solid framing rather than only the siding.
I am concerned abt water draining onto neighbor's deck below. Will this planter catch & hold the water so it does not drain out (so long as it's not overwatered)???
This has a drainage system from the bottom so this may not work for the intended use as it will drain downwards.
How do you clean the reservoir because I assume it gets moldy after a while?
Since the water is moving with refilling/plant use, mold should not grow.
Does this windowbox come with the decorative corbels / brackets?
This does not come with decorative corbels. It only comes with the metal mounting brackets.
Can the 36" black self-watering box be installed to a wrought iron railing? We have baskets now and have used zip ties to secure the baskets
Yes, we even sell railing brackets that may help with your installation!
Bottom hole is not open. Should I punch it through? Inside see covered with soft plastic. Not all drainage holes are open? Is that normal? Do all plugs get removed

How do you fill the reserve??
There are two ways to fill the water reservoir. You can fill it directly through the fill port, which provides instant access at any time, or you can simply water as usual and the reservoir will fill passively.
How do i install this box on the wall under my window? What parts or tools do i need to buy for that installation?
We provide the brackets and screws with all of our window boxes to assist in installation although we recommend a drill, level tool and maybe a piece of wood to be the gap maker between your house and the window box as this assists with holding the weight of a full window box!
