can it be filled with water without leaking or bending out of shape?
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. As this container is self watering, all excess water will enter the reservoir. Once the reservoir is full, all excess water will drain from the overflow drainage hole to prevent root rot. A for the sturdiness of the container, this product is made from strong vinyl and can withstand all weather conditions without bending out of shape!
What’s the best way to water the window boxes? Can you hook them up to a drip system?
The best way to water our window boxes is to just water as normal though the potting mix. The built in overflow drainage holes will allow any excess water to drain from the window boxes preventing flooding or over-watering. A drip system can be used by just placing the drip line along the top of the planting area.
It seems prudent to install more than 2 brackets for a 80+ inch box. Is there an option for extra brackets? I prefer not to mix and match brackets and hardware.
This window box should include a total of 6x steel wall mount brackets. If wall mount brackets are missing from your order please call our customer service team at 1-866-363-8834 and we are more than happy to assist with replacements.
How often do you need to add water to the window box for the plants to not die? Especially the summer months. Just trying to see if this is what I need to do?
Frequency of watering will always depend on the individual location and will be dependent on factors like climate, sun and rain exposure however as a general rule, watering once per week should be more than sufficient for most areas. Once planted we just recommend checking the moisture level of the soil a few inches below the surface to determine if watering is needed.

Our Yorkshire window box line is only available in white however this window box is manufactured from PVC vinyl so can be painted prior to installation with any paint designed for exterior vinyl applications.
