For interior use. Which type bond has the longest working time? Will be putting two panels glued together and need at least 10 minutes to spread and place the panels.

Recommend using Titebond III as it has 10 minutes of open time (time to spread the glue and get the pieces together and then 10 to 15 minutes more to finalize the pieces into position as the glue sets up.

Is tire bond good for rigid foam panels?
        ByOct 14, 2025
        1 Answer |
        Answer This Question

Titebond II Premium Wood Glue will bond rigid foam panels to wood substrates. If bonding foam panels to a non-porous substrate such as metal or painted walls use Titebond Advanced Polymer Panel Adhesive. For smaller areas you can use Titebond WeatherMaster Ultimate MP Sealant which is available in cartridges.

Can this be used on foam
          ByAug 30, 2025
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

Yes, Titebond II can be used to bond foam to porous substrates. Bonding foam to non-porous substates can cause the glue not to dry properly in the middle of the glue up.

Do you have to shake this glue when it's sat for a while?
            ByJul 27, 2025
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

Yes, it is always best to mix any wood glue before use. Shaking may not mix the glue thoroughly so using a stick twice as tall as the bottle can be a better method of mixing. Titebond II has an official two-year shelf life, but with good storage conditions (keep from storing in hot conditions), the glue can remain usable for up to 4-5 years. If the Titebond II has gelled or has a strong vinegar odor, it is no longer usable as a wood glue and should be replaced.

Can you use it to glue clay to wood and glass
              ByJul 5, 2025
              1 Answer |
              Answer This Question

I will assume you mean fired clay (as in tile and clay pots without glaze). Titebond II will bond to fired clay, wood and glass. When bonding clay to glass, allow more time to dry as the glass will not allow water to pass through leaving the clay to allow water from the glue to pass through and dry.

Do you need to apply glue to both surfaces?
                ByApr 23, 2025
                1 Answer |
                Answer This Question

Gluing one or both surfaces are OK. Single sided gluing will give thinner glue lines but will need to be assembled quickly before the glue dries. Double sided gluing gives more time for assembly but will give thicker glue lines and more squeeze out that will need to be cleaned. Choose the method that works best for your application.

We needed to glue three sheets of plywood together as a canvas for a painting. The parts had to be solid. Our test shows just how strong the glue can be.
