I would be placing the sliding door on the side of the tub with the shower for easier access, and I'm concerned with a potential tripping hazard. I'm assuming the track material is metal. Can it be replaced with plastic silicone?
Thank you for your inquiry. The sliding door should close on the same side as the showerhead. As for the door threshold, this is a metal bar that prevents water from leaking out of the shower under the door. Unfortunately, we do not offer a plastic strip for the bottom of the door. The height of the door threshold is 3/4".
Can this be installed on top of a bathtub?
