What if I accidentally applied 2nd coat of black satin premium plus water based Behr paint after 1 hr instead of 2 (was applied thinly on smooth wooden box in garage w/ door partially open, 83 deg F, less than 60percent humidity)? Would it still peel?
Hi ggaa, thank you for your question. We recommend a 2 hour recoat time to ensure the paint can properly dry and build a hard finish. Applying the second coat before the recoat time may extend the dry time of the paint, but it's hard to determine exactly what impact that will have. Is a separate primer needed to paint over a medium grey?
