The Rockwell 4-1/2" Compact Circular Saw is an effective and hassle-free replacement for a traditional circ saw. Just grab it and go when you need to make some quick rip or plunge cuts-no need to lug out the bulky full-size saw. Even though it has the functionality to handle all sorts of projects, this saw was made for 2" lumber, cutting 2x4s in a single pass. Its lightweight design (only 5 lbs) allows for better control of the tool so you can operate it with just one hand. And it makes overhead cutting much more of a possibility than with a full-size saw. The grip is comfortable to use for extended periods. And the smaller blade allows the 5-amp motor to spin it up to 3,500 rpm, achieving the speeds of much larger saws while putting less strain on the motor for more efficient energy usage and increased life of the tool. The easy to access depth adjustment lever allows for a maximum cutting depth of 1.7" at 90 degrees. While the bevel lever lets you make the most common angled cuts from 0-45 degrees, with a maximum cutting depth of 1.125" on those cuts. Again, this saw excels at 2x4s, but is also awesome on plywood, hardwood flooring, pegboard, dowels, molding and more. Comes with one 24T TCT blade, a parallel guide, vacuum adapter, and blade key.

Hello Terri, Based on its approximately 1-3/4" depth of cut, yes, you could do that. However, because of the load this would place on a relatively small motor, we would recommend either a table saw or full-size circular saw to do the job. Thank you for choosing Rockwell!
Hello there. Thank you for your question. Rockwell is manufactured by Positec, one of the international leaders in power tool manufacture based in Suzhou, China
Hi Scott! Thank you for your questions. The dimensions of the Rk3441k base is 7-5/16” length X 3-5/16” width and the body of the saw only extends about a ½” to the right side of the base. -DestyneeE

Both are correct
The first picture is correct-no vacuum attachment. The video also shows correct saw.
Hello Mighty. I do not recommend using the Rockwell brand diamond blade for this task. The diamond blade works best on ceramic, stone tile, backer board, and cement. However, you can use another brand of the diamond blade with a hard bond and the same arbor size. --DestyneeE
Me, I wouldn’t use it, you would probably damage it. Take a look at HD’s On Line Listing for this Saw, under Specs...down and adjacent you will see the pdf for The a owner’s Manual. You can read it to better understand it. There is also the # for the Company, you might call them if in doubt.
