Is this shelf strong enough for dishes pots and pans?
No. Very flimsy.
If you can anchor into studs, it is supposed to hold 30 lbs. I don’t think I’d trust it for that weight.
Yes, as long as the overall weight of the dishes and pans is 30lb.
We cannot recommend storing pots and pans as there are so many variables associated with the weights (cast iron) and sizes (skillets) of pots and pans. Sorry
I need a width of 45, would this be able to be trimmed?
Since it is black, you may be able to get away with trimming it depending on how visible the cut would be when installed. You would have to paint the side that you cut. No guarantee that it would look the same as the other sides because they have a factory finish coating.
Yes, but you will be left with an unfinished edge unless the cut end is placed in a corner where it is not visible. .

Regarding the Milson 48” Black MDF Floating shelf: The studs in our walls are spaced at 24”. Are the supports able to be adjusted for the distance of the studs? Also, are the support locations variable in case the studs are not exactly centered in the length of the shelf and the shelf needs to be shifted to the left or right to mount it in the desired location?
Holes are on 24" centers but no room to adjust left to right. Included are drywall anchors if you can't center on studs.
