No, the Double Edge Pull Saw is ideal to use for cutting dowels, drywall, shims, trim, framing, folding and cross cutting.
I would not recommend using this saw to cut through anything other than wood, or maybe PVC/plastic. You may be able to get through a metal screw, but you would ruin the blade. If you need to cut metal screw, you can always use a hacksaw.

When cutting the kerf is about 1/16th or 1/32nd of an inch wide
Very small kerf on the 14 tpi side, a little larger on the 7tpi side. Still not talking 1/16 inch.
I'm not quite sure what you're referring to as the kerf. If you mean the blade width it's about an eighth of an inch. If you are referring to depth, you can cut through any width board because there are no restrictive holders for the blade.

I don't think so.... You may be able to find a replacement online, but to me, this seems like a tool that you use until it's dead and then buy a new one.
