How long are the 6 x 6 support posts
Hello, Thank you for your question. The post dimensions from the ground to the top of the post is 7' 1" tall. 6"x6"x89 1/2" are the individual part dimensions. If we can assist you further, please reach out to us.
What are the exact base dimensions of the posts? I know it says 12 x 16 but usually the posts are closer together.
Outside post to outside post it is 14'x10'. Inside to inside is 13' x 9'
I will order the 10 x 10 ft pergola. As is, how long will it take for the cedar to turn grey? I want it to match my grey deck.
Hi Nancy- We do recommend putting a sealant on the pergola to keep the wood from cracking and splitting.
Could the post be cut? I am aware that by cutting it, it would void the warranty. Just curious if anything would prevent it from being cut. ~ Thanks Kindly

Can the Beaumont Pergola be installed on level grass
Our products may be assembled on any level surface. However, we highly recommend anchoring to a concrete slab or concrete footers with the included concrete anchor screws.
does a pergola have to be placed on cement, can it be placed in a grassy area and the poles cemented into the ground?
We recommend installing our pergolas on either a concrete pad or concrete footers.
Can this be secure on ground, not cement?
We only include the concrete anchoring hardware with the kit. You would need to go out and purchase your own ground rebar anchors to do so. Just note the 100mph wind rating is to concrete only. We recommend using concrete footers for each post, and you can leave the rest of the area your ground/grass.
