Antiquity Red 6 ft. x 9 ft. Border Area Rug

While the picture shows in detail and at distance spots of red, in reality the color is a beige peachy color. Not red at all!

Well made and beautiful vivid colors. My dogs have found it very comfortable..wears well. I've ordered another one in a different color. Love it.

This rug is more green than what the photo shows. It works for my room, but if you think it will be more tan then don't purchase it. The rug sheds a lot. I'm assuming that is due to it being a wool rug and new.

Lovely plush carpet, exactly what i was looking for to replace a similar rug. Know in advance this thing sheds like a horse in spring, and from past experience this is something that happens for the life of a carpet like this, but it definitely dies down after a while. Our photo is a pretty good representation of the color, on the website there are a few different ones which are completely different in terms of appearance.

I own 5 of these SAVAFIEH wool rugs and I wish that I had never bought them. Plain and simple: THEY SHED. Yes they look great, they were delivered to my door, and I live on the second floor. They are HEAVY, they will not trip you up, they look amazing. But the wool comes off in clumps ALL THE TIME and they are now a YEAR old. I called right away and they told me that they would stop shedding in about 3-6 months. Well THEY DIDN'T. Now I cannot return them. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE PLEASE DONT BUY THEM. If you sit on the carpet be prepared to ALWAYS have some of the carpet come with you. The grandchildren are covered in it, I am covered in it. When you vacuum it looks like a dead animal has PLUGGED your vacuum. I vacuum EVERY SATURDAY. I have a brand new RICCAR vacuum, and you must change the bag every 3 times after you vacuum. Also a wrinkle in the one rug has never come out. This is ridiculous. Quality this is NOT. I wish I had known more about wool rugs when I bought these. Quality wool rugs, handwoven or hand knotted will not have the backing on them, you will see the pattern on the back, these do not. These are TUFTED machine made wool rugs with a latex backing covered by a canvas back. Will these last? Yes. Am I happy? NO. LESSON LEARNED.

This rug is absolutely beautiful. The quality is amazing. The color is very pretty. The best picture in my opinion to reflect the true color is the second one down. It makes the room feel so warm. You will not be disappointed.

I would highly recommend this area rug to friends and family! I purchased the Blue/Gold rug ( AT52C-8; Internet # 205166810). In my opinion the colors online are not close to the actual colors. Most other sites have the Safavieh pictures (some which are here also) which are not at all representative of the true colors. The two pictures of the rug on the floor (on the HD site) help just a bit and those made me decide to buy the rug. I think the actual colors are a bit darker, certainly the blue is. I also think the colors on this site are duller than the actual colors; the actual colors are richer and have more depth. The gold is more golden/orange. There is also green, plum, beige and light and medium brown in the rug. The pattern is not too busy , so all the colors work well together. I am pleased with the colors in the rug as my living room happens to have some items/objects/art with similar colors/shades that are in the rug. I gave 4 stars/bars for Overall Rating/Quality only because I wish the pile would have been closer to 0.5" (the pile is just under 0.5” at 0.4375"). I have purchased other rugs with a 0.5" pile and they feel very plush. But rest assured that the thickness of the rug still is acceptable. I wish I could have given 4 1/2 stars for Overall rating. I did use two TrafficMASTER 6 ft. x 8 ft. 5 lb. Density Premium Plush Rug Pads under the area rug and the combination makes for a very plush feeling underfoot! I gave 5 bars for appearance since the rug is beautiful! I have not had the problem of lint/fibers that others have reported. It would be natural to see some of that initially. I have had the rug for a month and did vacuum the rug once a week as a "break it in" process, but it was not out of need. I still give it a once a week vacuum, but again, it has not been because it is needed. I gave 5 bars for value as I shopped several sites for the same rug and HD happened to have the best price (on sale), beating other sale prices by $100. However, now with the regular price plus tax, some sites do beat the regular price because sales tax and shipping are not charge on several rug online vendors (not that HD charged for shipping). I guess I got lucky with the HD sales price because even with the sales tax it was competitive at the time. All in all, I am very happy with the rug! The new rug is a great change over the one I replaced. It looks great in my living room! The room looks more inviting and refined with this rug than the one I replaced!
