Questions & Answers

Are there any safety features with hot water? Is there an extra step like “push down AND push back” to ensure the hot water doesn’t surprise the user? Cold is just pull forward. I want to make sure the dual use would be safe for my kids to use.

Answer This Question

Hi, Anne. We're glad you asked. The InSinkErator 3300 series steaming hot water taps feature a safety lever/lock mechanism. The handle must be pushed down then back to dispense hot water. If there's anything else that we can help, feel free to contact us at 800-558-5700 Mon-Fri 8 am - 7 pm CST and weekends 9 am - 6 pm CST or text us at 262-233-2231. Happy new year!

Hi Stan! appreciate your question. There are several models of hot water tanks compatible with your hot and cold water dispenser faucets. You can look for Hwt-00, Hwt200, and Hwt300. Hello, Is this ADA compliant?
      BySep 29, 2023

      Answer This Question

Hi Jane, thanks for reaching out. Yes, it's compliant with ADA standards; however, it's not certified due to the requirement for the faucet to run for 10 more seconds after releasing the handle, which we cannot do with steaming hot water. The amount of force needed to turn the dispenser on is within the ADA's prescribed limits when the dispenser is properly installed.

Does the water spout get hot to the touch while it's dispensing hot water?

        Answer This Question

Hello Paige, thanks for reaching out! When dispensing hot water, the faucet's neck will heat to varying levels depending on the set temperature of the water, but the handle will always be cool to the touch.

Hi Dsin, Thanks for your question. Yes, you can install it with the handle on the left side since the spout can swivel 360 degrees. I bought the HWT-F1000S tank and filter. How does this hook up so that both the cold water and hot water are filtered?

            Answer This Question

Hi SupMom, we are happy to hear from you! To ensure that both hot and cold water are filtered, connect the copper tube from the faucet into “Y” quick connector using the plug. For a better illustration, you can refer to page 10 step 5 letter C of the installation manual. Here’s the link: https://bit.ly/2EnZbP7. Does the modern series handle also pull forward to dispense hot water ? There is very little clearance to push back as it will hit our window molding.

Hi, thanks for your question. The handle for this model is meant to be pushed back. If pulled forward, it may dispense water, but will have poor flow or make noise as the valve is not being fully opened. However, since the spout swivels 360 degrees, you can install it with the handle positioned on the left side so you can pull the handle forward when dispensing hot water. Hope this helps!

I like the InSinkErator Indulge Faucet. It's sleek design is what I've been looking for. Push down and Push Back to dispense the hot water. The function is safe so it won't turn on without this sequence. The faucet does splatter if the cup is too far from the faucet. Other than that, it's everything as described. It could be a little more affordable, especially if you're buying the instant hot water tank and starting a system from scratch.

                        Quality and Stylish
After 15 years with my original InSinkErator hot/cold faucet, I had to replace it and wanted something a little different. The FHC3300 fit the mold. Sturdy construction and a nice modern look. I like the safety push down to enable the hot water to protect the grandkids from accidently burning themselves. The only thing that I would like is if the faucet was about two inches taller to allow more room for filling a coffee pot.

Best On The Market, Bar None
I've owned and replaced many over 30-35 years and this, by far, is the best of all brands I've owned or seen in other homes. This one comes as close to 210 degrees as you can get without boiling the water away, which is important for making coffee and tea. I make fresh filtered coffee in the same time it takes to make instant coffee. While it's not a rolling boil, it makes black or green tea instantly and perfectly. Run it through an under-sink filter system and you virtually eliminate the need for bottled water. Installation is not for the faint of heart or those not mechanically inclined. It requires an under-sink outlet and a knack for a plumbing connection, but I wouldn't buy any other brand or model. This particular model is excellent, as one lever gets you tepid or HOT water. If you really wanted to, you could run the tepid line through an under-sink or basement chiller and have truly HOT and COLD instant filtered water at your finger tips. I did just that in my last home. The box comes with most things you need, but not everything. You may want Teflon tape, edible plumber's grease, plumbing tools and a whole set of electrical tools and supplies if you intend to do the wiring yourself. While you're there, install a quad or double duplex so you can install a garbage disposal, if you don't already have one. that outlet will need to be switched.

                            Great looking
I am disappointed that the faucet dispenser sputters with both the hot and cold options, but, mostly the hot - which is a safety issue. Have tried cleaning the spout, but there is nothing there, and it's new. The cold water is almost 'warm' and I would like the hot water to be hotter. The look though, is great. I love having instant hot water for a pot of tea. It is easy to operate. The filtration system works well.

The only issue I currently notice is that the output water flow stream tends to spray/spread with higher source pressures. A pressure regulator on the incoming line would help to minimize/eliminate this.

We have been using it for a couple of months now. it is stylish and functional. Both hot and cold water (but not a combination of the two, i.e. warm) can be dispensed from a single unit. Eliminates the need to have an extra dispenser at/near the sink for dispensing both hot and cold RO/filtered water. The only "issue" is that higher water pressures do tend to cause spray/spreading of the stream exiting the tip. A pressure regulator on the incoming water line (from the RO/filter to both the hot tank and cold water connection) should be able to correct this.

This fixture plus thermal heater/filter is exactly what I've been looking for virtually all of my life. To be able to make instant tea or instantly blanch asparagus or add hot water to anything else I could think of to reduce my cook time is what I've always wanted as a tool in my kitchen. I couldn't be more excited to find a new use for it almost everyday.

nice product, well built, good appearance.
I purchased this faucet to match the same style faucet that delta sells for hot and cold water on kitchen sink.. Looks very similar, slight difference in metal finish but knew that when purchased it. Finish on it is satin nickel and delta is stainless steel. Very close but not exact. Installation was simple and quality is on par with delta faucet if not slightly sturdier. Only down side is it is really expensive, twice the price as regular delta faucet..I would recommend it because it was easy to install and has a complete setup option. You can buy the hot water heater and filter then choose the faucet that you like (faucet is sold separately from heater/filter kit). Most others come with hot water heater and faucet, so if you don't like faucet your stuck buying another one. As quality I have only owned it 2 months so cannot give opinion how long it will last. Have had no issues since I owned it though. Installation took about a hour and half.
