Can caster wheels be attached to this unit.
Not directly. I built a 2" x 6" base to put the rack in and then mounted screw on casters to the bottom of that. My wife and I are elderly and cannot lift heavy items anymore. Rolling the rack around makes it much easier to handle.
I would like to shorten the shelf by 5 inches, can I remove the pins at the ends of the brace and beam or are they permanent?
I wanted mine to be 18 inches to go under a kids bed and I just took them to a shop and had them saw them in half. It worked great and then I put them on sliders and the kid could store a lot of stuff underneath.

How much weight does each shelf hold?
Description says 800 lbs. They're very sturdy but the shelves are 3/8" particle board so I don't know that I would trust that much weight on them. Especially if they were in a humid area.
what is the height for each shelf. i see that shelf is 48 inches wide and 18 inches deep but don't see the height
The shelves are adjustable in height by about 1.5" increments. Evenly spaced, they're about 15" between shelves. I set my bottom two shelves a little taller to fit some larger boxes.
I received my unit and the brackets are bent. How do I resolve this?
