Morning Glenn, -- The length of the Non-Vinyl-Coated, "Threaded-Metal-Screw-In" is approximately 3/4" to 13/16" in length. The length of the Vinyl-Coated Stem (between the threads and leading to the actual hook) is 1/2" in length. And the length of the Vinyl-Coated Hook is about 1 & 1/4" in length.. With the 3/4" length Threaded Screw-In, these Cup-Hooks are able to support 5 pounds of weight, (according to Pkg Description). I have approximately 25 feet of of 10/4 SOOW Extension Cord Wire (weighing approx 15 to 18 pounds) strung/run between 2 Power Inlet/Outlet Boxes, & supported by 5 of these Cup-Hooks (as Strain Reliefs), with No Issues.
