Should I trim the Fiberon post sleeve below the top of the actual post when placing the Fiberon cap on? The cap fits snugly on the bare post, but not as secure on the sleeve. It looks like it has 2 places for contact, 1 for the sleeve and 1 for the post?
Thank you for your question. No, it is not necessary to trim the post sleeve; normally the wood post is an inch or so below the top of the sleeve. There are similar items in the ArmorGuard and Veranda railing products, and they are not interchangeable with each other. Please make sure the inside cap dimension is a true 4 inches and it should fit well.

What is the inside opening of the cap? What size post will it fit upon and how far down will it sit? Thank you
4" heavy. This cap is designed to fit on the ArmorGuard 4x4 post sleeve. It will sit down on the post approximately 1".
Can you paint this post sleeve cap
We do not recommend painting as it is designed for durability and to be low maintenance. It may be possible but we have not tested it and painting would void the material warranty.
This was ever so slightly too small for my deck post. Are there any others with a very slightly wider opening? Without the plastic pieces inside so it?ll sit lower on the post?
Thank you for your question. Some posts and cap dimensions can vary and this cap is designed for use with the ArmorGuard post sleeve only. Other posts such as the Veranda post jacket may have a slightly different dimension and the products may not be interchangeable.
I just snapped those pieces off and they fit snug. I did by from another company though Solar ones which look real nice.
Which type of caps will fit Traditional or Williamsburg rails with the 39" vinyl post jackets?
Fiberon post caps fit fiberon post sleeves Veranda post caps fit veranda post sleeves. They are slightly different. One is pure square and one is slightly rounded so they aren't universal.
My fence and railing was from Home Depot. Everything they have will work with everything else they have.

I have a veranda deck from 2018. They dont sell those post sleeve caps anymore. Will this fit?
Thank you for your question. If you originally purchased the Regency or Enclave railing and 48" sleeves, yes, this cap will work. However, if you installed the Traditional or Williamsburg rails with the 39" vinyl post jackets, they have a slightly different dimension and the caps will not fit.

I just sent a question and indicated Veranda rails. I think that my fence is actually Fiberon. I need the upper and lower rails and hardware. I need at least 4' of each to finish my job. (believers are 1 3/16" square). Thanks.
